Adolfo Domínguez has entered into a partnership with Chalhoub
The first three openings will take place this spring in Dubai and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), as reported by the brand to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) on Thursday.
The partnership with Chalhoub will allow Adolfo Domínguez to quintuple its number of retail locations in the Middle East, where it currently has only three stores, one in Kuwait and two in Qatar.
The new stores will be deployed in the various markets in which the Chalhoub Group has a presence, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan
The partnership involves the distribution of Adolfo Domínguez’s men’s, women’s and accessories collections, in both brick-and-mortar stores and shopping centres, and also involves boosting the brand’s online retail presence.
The Dubai-based Chalhoub Group has been distributing luxury brands for over 68 years. With a presence in more than 680 stores and 50 online spaces across 11 markets in the Middle East, the company employs 12,500 people.
Since 2016, Adolfo Domínguez’s international expansion has been one of the group’s growth drivers. In fact, 55% of the firm’s stores are already located outside of Spain.
The group’s sales outside of Europe grew by 32.5% between March and November 2022. Adolfo Domínguez currently operates 343 stores in 19 countries worldwide.
