Heidi Klum showcased her derrière at the release party for pop star Kim Petras’s new single “Alone,” featuring Nicki Minaj.
Clad in a backless chainmail minidress that dipped down to reveal her skimpy black thong with gold embellishments, the German supermodel partied the night away with Petras herself as well as RuPaul’s Drag Race veterans Violet Chachki and Gottmik. Gottmik, it’s worth noting, also happens to be Klum’s longtime friend and makeup artist.
In a clip later shared to Instagram, the 49-year-old gave followers a closer look at her shimmering ensemble as she danced to the freshly released track. To complete the outfit, Klum paired the gilded thong and dress with black thigh-high boots, a cherry red clutch, and a black feather boa.

Heidi Klum isn’t the first celebrity to try out the exposed-thong trend, and she probably won’t be the last. Recently Hailey Bieber sported a tiny white G-string at Coachella. On New Year’s Eve, Dua Lipa served up an even cheekier version of Klum’s ’fit with a white thong and a glittering pink halter dress. And months before that, Bella Hadid put her own spin on the trend with a black thong that peeked out of a pair of leather pants.
More recently, Kourtney Kardashian took things a step further in a pair of butt-crack-exposing leggings with a heart-shaped cutout over her rump. Suns out, buns out, and all that!
