Her, her, her—she, she, she! After months away from the spotlight, rapper Megan Thee Stallion made a glorious return to the red carpet in Los Angeles last night, March 12, when she hit up the star-studded Vanity Fair. Her striking evening look, styled by Law Roach, was well worth the wait.
The 2021 wore a custom gown by Bach Mai (who happens to be a fellow Houstonian, no less). The body-skimming, strapless design channeled Megan’s enduring love of bodycon silhouettes, though the full fishtail skirt and a hint of a fishnet-like corset felt both vampy and fresh. It was Old Hollywood, but new Old Hollywood.
The star’s last public appearance was in October of last year, when she served as the host of Saturday Night Live. Since then she’s been keeping a low profile—though she’s now clearly gearing up for a major return to the spotlight. Her fabulous Oscars cameo aside, Megan Thee Stallion is set to perform her first concert of 2023 in Houston later this month, where she will be headlining the AT&T Block Party as part of the NCAA March Madness Music Festival.
It’s safe to say we’re more than ready for her next act. Especially if she makes it look this good.
