Joots are here! (That’s jean boots, FYI.)
Pop princess Dua Lipa, who is currently on tour, skipped the Met Gala but still made a fashion impact when she went out with friends in London wearing a denim jacket, denim top (dress?), and the aforementioned joots, which are thigh-high. But are they machine-washable?
“’Twas the night before the 02!! ~ 🦋 LONDON I CAN’T WAIT TO HIT THE STAGE IN A FEW HOURS!!!!!!!! 🦋,” the singer and newsletter entrepreneur captioned a series of pictures documenting her grown-up tea party. In addition to the dress and jacket (which, upon closer inspection, might actually be made of some kind of polymer), Lipa wore her hair in braids secured with colored bands, accessorized with gold necklaces and silver hoop earrings, and…what looks to be butterfly grills. At the very least, a butterfly on a tooth.
Tootherfly.
Buttertooth.
Or did she just eat the Tooth Fairy?

Mere hours later, the “Levitating” singer posted pictures in leather thigh-high boots. If the look ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
These might not even be her first joots! In March, Dua Lipa wore a quilted denim bra-top with a matching purse and a garment that’s either pants attached to boots or boots attached to pants. It’s got heels but also a belt. “Puss in bootz,” she wrote of the look.

Now, does last October’s denim-semble count as joots? Her feet are strategically cropped out of the pictures, but it looks like she’s wearing jean-y heels that are not attached to her baggy pants. But let me direct your attention to the butterfly-shaped denim top…and there are butterfly appliqués on the pants…and a butterfly belt…the same butterfly that now appears on her teeth?! It’s all coming together.

As a matter of fact, denim and butterflies has been her look for a year.

We plebs may not have access to these pieces, but we can rock a Canadian tux as the occasion calls for it. Perhaps at the next Future Nostalgia concert?
