Celebrities are going for gold on the Golden Globes red carpet this year.
The controversial ceremony, which was boycotted last year for a lack of diversity and for the questionable ethics of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, is back for 2023 and kicking off awards season at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. And as the Golden Globes hopes to redeem itself to its former star-studded glory, many celebrities are taking to the red carpet with a nod to one of the most iconic style of gowns of all time: the golden gown.
The long gold dress—or LGD—has had many iconic red-carpet moments (Anne Hathaway at the 2015 Met Gala, Nicole Kidman at the 2000 Oscars, Cher at, like, everything), and tonight’s Golden Globes are no different.
