The company had originally decided not to market an Earps jersey — something the goalie herself had said was disappointing and despite it making replica jerseys for men’s goalkeepers.

When England reached the Women’s World Cup

A petition garnered tens of thousands of signatures urging the company to change its mind but earlier this week it only went as far as suggesting it would reconsider its approach for future tournaments.

But now it has said it recognises “that during the tournament we didn’t serve those fans who wished to show their passion and support to the squads’ goalkeepers”.

It means it’s not only set to sell limited numbers of Earps jerseys but also goalie’s shirts for US, France and Netherlands teams via the football federation webstores in those countries.

While it hasn’t said how many jerseys will be available, it has committed to “retailing women’s goalkeeping jerseys for major tournaments in the future”.
