Chlöe Bailey, is that you, or is it Princess Belle? The musician just stepped out in a corseted marigold yellow gown that looks as if Belle’s iconic ballgown got a 2023 makeover.
Bailey attended the premiere of her new movie Praise This on April 3 in a stunning strapless yellow gown with an asymmetrical corseted bodice and thigh high slit skirt; Bailey stars as Sam, a church choir member who dreams of musical stardom and helps nudge her choir group toward cooler, more modern selections.
Part of the bodice was slightly sheer to show a peek of Bailey’s skin, as well as the corset boning. The skirt was intricately draped on one side to create subtle pleating to create a sweeping, dramatic waterfall as it cascaded into a sweeping train. The other side of the gown ended just past the 24-year-old’s knee for a high-low effect. The In Pieces musician wore a coordinating yellow wrap around her shoulders, though we can’t tell if it’s part of the gown or a separate accessory entirely.
Because of the intricate nature of the dress, Bailey kept her accessories simple with a diamond cross necklace and silver bracelets, one on each wrist, plus an equally glittering silvery manicure. She wore her signature deep red locs loose down her back and added just a touch of neutral makeup with a hint of eyeshadow and a pretty rose-brown lip. Chlöe Bailey’s little sister, Halle Bailey, may be playing Ariel in the highly anticipated Little Mermaid (and is also a fan of sheer corseted dresses), but Chloe is definitely the Belle of the ball in this gorgeous golden gown.
