At the start of spring every year, I somehow always find myself forgetting how to dress. What do you mean I don’t have to layer strategically anymore? Do I really have to put my cute fuzzy earmuffs away? I also tend to just jump into my spring wardrobe, regretting not grabbing my jacket on the way out or even relying on transitional spring outfits to help getting from one season to another go smoothly at all.
That being said, before you put away your coats and hang up your chunky sweaters one last time before the heat starts to swelter, give ’em another chance and make them truly seasonally versatile as we head into spring. Knowing just how unpredictable the weather could be at this time (I’m looking at you, late-spring snowstorms), it’s important—and we promise not impossible—to incorporate and mix your winter and fall pieces with your spring and summer pieces during these transitional seasons. There’s no denying that ballet flats are the shoe of the season right now, so before spring hits us in full effect, incorporate the look with your winter wardrobe while you still can. Paired with baggy jeans and a chunky sweater, the contrast of textures come together to make one amazing outfit.

When it’s only a bit chilly outside and a puffer coat might make you overheat, opt for a leather jacket instead.
