Mandy Moore had a date night with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, while attending a NBC For Your Consideration event on May 25 for Moore’s show This Is Us, after six seasons this week.
The married duo, both dressed in designs from Thom Browne, showed off their matching signing talents with a performance of original songs from This Is Us. Moore starred on the NBC show as matriarch Rebecca Pearson, a role that often utilized Moore’s established singing abilities.
The 38-year-old actor swapped her usual style of colorful dresses and fun prints for a sleek black suit complete with a thin tie and pocket square. With the help of her stylist Kevin Ericson, Moore has been seen wearing more and more two-piece sets recently, and this full-suit moment is a welcome addition to her evolving style. It shouldn’t be a big deal when a famous woman wears a suit—after all, Diane Keaton has been doing it for decades—but there’s something about flipping fashion gender traditions on their head that still feels notable.

For makeup, Moore went with a dark eye, flushed cheeks, and full lashes that worked well with the sleekness of the fitted James Bond–style tuxedo suit. Silver jewelry was a delicate addition with some thin rings and small hoop earrings. The Tangled actor also left her tie a little loose, wore simple black heels, and kept her hair long and parted in the middle.
Moore’s partner opted for a simple white button-up with a gray cardigan on top. The four-bar V-neck wool cardigan is a popular style from Thom Browne, and the Dawes artist paired it with similar-colored trousers.
